Please note that if a Section is shown on the map in green but not in the list under "Unclaimed Sections" (if shown) this is due to a slight delay between a Section being claimed and the map being updated.
Baumber, Benniworth, East Barkwith, Great Sturton, Hemingby, High Toynton, Horncastle, Low Toynton, Panton, Sotby and West Ashby
Please use this map to browse for and select a section of road you would like to survey - allow about 10 seconds for the highlighted road sections to appear.
Use the arrows, click and drag the map and use the zoom controls in the top left corner of the map to navigate. Click a highlighted section and an information bubble will appear. Click the green link in the bubble to claim your verge for survey.
If the map fails to load please contact us by phone or email and we can allocate a local verge that is close to you.
Road sections available to survey are shown in GREEN. Sections already claimed by volunteers will be RED, whereas those already surveyed will be GREY.
Purple sections indicate known areas of high conservation value, and these do not need to be surveyed.
If the section you wish to survey does not appear in this map, it may be in an adjacent area. If so, return to the project area map and select the area you require.
If you still cannot locate your preferred section first make sure it is within the project area then contact us.
We may have highlighted some private roads by mistake. If you claim a section which appears to be on private land, please ensure you ask the landowner for their permission before you survey. In addition, if you know of any public byways, bridleways, or footpaths that may support important wild flowers, please contact us with details of their location.
